You can now request and access a user's location from a Facebook Messenger bot.

Facebook Messenger can send you the user's location in longitude and latitude coordinates using a "quick reply" option.

We released Bot Libre 5.3 this week.
This release included many enhancements including:

Bot Libre 5.1 includes several new features including Timers and Bot Services, as well as many other enhancements and fixes.

• Timers - Schedule and run background tasks for your bot, every hour, or every day. This allows your bot to manage mailing lists, message users on social media, scrape website data, generates reports, and perform other scheduled tasks.

We have released Bot Libre 5.0!

The worlds most advanced bot platform just got better. Bot Libre 5.0 is a free and open source platform for developing and hosting bots. Bot Libre 5.0 includes support for chat bots, virtual agents, virtual assistants, social media bots, live chat, animated avatars, and speech. Bot Libre supports bots for the web, mobile, Facebook, Twitter, Telegram, Slack, email, SMS, IRC, and new platforms are being added every month.

From our scripting languages Self, and AIML you can now access any web service that returns XML or JSON data. You can also scrape information from HTML web pages, and send emails, tweets, Facebook posts, Telegram posts, and more.

Bot Libre 4.4 includes new support for connecting bots to SMS text messaging, for accessing XML, JSON, and HTML web services, and accessing Twitter, Facebook, Telegram, and email.

Through Bot Libre you can now automate your Facebook presence with your own Facebook Messenger bot. Any Bot Libre bot can be connected to a Facebook Messenger page account. The bot will reply to your users questions in real-time using the responses of script you have trained your bot with.

Wikidata

Initial support for importing data from Wikidata. Wikidata is a free knowledge base, part of the Wikimedia/Wikipedia project. The support mirrors our current Freebase support, in anticipation of Google shutting down Freebase.

The website was update with a preview of our Facebook automation support.

This support is still experimental at this stage, as we are waiting for permissions approval from Facebook. The current support will let you connect a bot to a Facebook account or Facebook page. The bot will be able to read and respond to wall posts, auto post from an RSS feed, and auto post from a set of posts, Self formulas, or AIML templates.
